The Dallas Mavericks gave up 37 first-quarter points to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, and they struggled to get back into the game. They were down 14 at the end of the third quarter, and Dallas looked defeated before an improbable fourth-quarter comeback led the Mavs to a 107-101 win on the road.

Superstar Luka Doncic could not find his touch against the Jazz in the first game after the All-Star break, and it carried over into Sunday’s game. He was eight of 19 from the field after three quarters, but Doncic found his touch in the fourth to lead Dallas to their 36th win of the season.

Dallas fell behind as they committed too many turnovers that resulted in easy Warriors points, but they got back in the game with defense. They held Golden State to just 13 fourth-quarter points to pull off the seemingly impossible win. Spencer Dinwiddie keyed the victory for the Mavericks, and here is plenty more on his performance.

Luka finished with a 34-point double-double against Golden State, but the Mavs were outscored by five points in his 37 minutes of action. He helped finish off the comeback with nine fourth-quarter points, but he struggled for most of the night.

Spencer Dinwiddie had the hot hand for the Mavericks. He finished with 24 points, four rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 31 minutes of action. Dinwiddie made ten of his 14 field goal attempts as Dallas outscored Golden State by 14 with 28-year-old on the floor. The veteran guard was running the show in the two stints where the Mavs made runs without Luka on the floor.

The Dallas Mavericks snapped the Warriors streak of 62 straight wins when leading by 20-plus with their seemingly impossible comeback on Sunday night. It appeared to game over early in the fourth quarter, but the Mavs stormed back for arguably their best win of the season.

No team is looking forward to facing the Dallas Mavericks right now. Luka Doncic and company are back in action on Tuesday night as they travel to Los Angeles to face LeBron James and the Lakers. Nobody is going to want to miss that contest, so please tune in and enjoy.
