The Dallas Mavericks have played seven straight games without superstar Luka Doncic. He was first sidelined with an ankle injury before entering the health and safety protocols. The Mavs offense has struggled as the team dropped four of their last five games.
Luka has not played his best basketball yet, and he is still averaging 25.6 points, 8.5 assists, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in 35.0 minutes per game. Those are outstanding numbers and more than deserving of an All-Star bid for the third straight year.
Doncic needs help from fans to get into the All-Star game in Cleveland. Voting opened on Christmas Day, and here is a look at how supporters can cast their ballot, how often they can vote, and why they need to select Luka.
Vote Luka Doncic into his third straight All-Star game
Fans can vote on NBA.com or the NBA app once per day as well as send out votes for ten different players on Twitter each day. 2022 NBA All-Star voting lasts until Jan. 22, and fans have four more chances for their votes to count twice on Jan. 7, 13, 17, and 20.
Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry are the top two guards in the Western Conference. The Mavericks superstar is second in points and rebounds, and third in assists per game among the player’s fans could choose over him. Number 77 is the no-brainer choice in the West's backcourt.
Expect Doncic to kick his game into another gear when he returns to action. He wants to leave no doubt that he should be the choice in the All-Star voting. Fans know Luka is capable of producing something unique in every game, and there will be plenty more of those special nights to come this season.
The Dallas Mavericks are off to a disappointing start, but Luka Doncic will have them back in the playoffs. Fans need to get out and vote Luka into the 2022 All-Star game in Cleveland. Stay tuned to The Smoking Cuban for all the latest updates on Doncic and the Mavs this season.
