Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic was selected as an All-Star starter for the third time in the last four years on Jan. 26. It will be Luka’s fourth All-Star appearance, which is tied for the second-most in Mavs history behind Dirk Nowitzki’s 14. The 23-year-old has arguably been the best player in the league this season, and he does something historic nearly every time he takes the floor.

Doncic leads the league in scoring at 33.8 points per game, and he is shooting a career-high 49.8 percent from the field this season. Luka has been unstoppable and the best is still yet to come as the 23-year-old pushes for his first NBA MVP honors.

The Mavs superstar has played on Team LeBron in each of his first three All-Star games, but a new twist this season will keep fans from knowing which squad Doncic is on until just before tipoff on Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City.

The league is using the captains' format for the sixth straight year, but this season they will pick their teams just minutes before the game playground style. The NBA announced the ten starters and two captains on Thursday night, and the All-Star reserves will be revealed on Feb. 2. All 24 players will arrive in Utah not knowing which team they will play for.

The Elam ending has added a ton of drama and excitement to the NBA All-Star game in recent years, and fans should expect another nail-bitter on Feb. 19. The young talent in the league will add plenty of drama, and MFFLs should be excited to see how Luka performs in his fourth All-Star game.

LeBron will be eager to select Luka Doncic for the fourth straight year as he attempts to continue his winning streak. King James has not lost under the current format, and he will be searching for his sixth straight win and fourth with Doncic on Feb. 19. Expect James to use his first or second selection on Doncic when All-Star Sunday rolls around.

Luka Doncic was a no-brainer selection to start the 2023 NBA All-Star game in Utah. He is among the frontrunners for MVP and one of the best players on the planet. Number 77 is having the best year of his career, and he will look forward to taking part in the All-Star festivities from Feb. 17 to 19. Will Luka be back in the Skills Competition this year?
