The Dallas Mavericks finally got their star back on the floor in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series against the Utah Jazz after Luka Doncic missed 13 days with a calf strain. He showed no rust in his return, but his team suffered a heartbreaking defeat.
The 23-year-old superstar had a 30-point double-double in his 34 minutes of action. He made 11 of his 21 field goals, including four 3-pointers as the Mavericks outscored the Jazz by seven with Doncic on the floor. Luka looked like he hit the dagger over Rudy Gobert to put Dallas up by 4 with 39 seconds to go, but the Mavericks failed to score again in the devastating loss.
