Dallas is coming off a 126-119 win over the San Antonio Spurs, while Brooklyn is coming off a narrow loss.
Dallas' opening game was headlined by elite performances from Luka Doncic, Dereck Lively II, and Grant Williams.
Dallas has plenty of work to do, but Wednesday night's win was a great start.

Luka Doncic is available for the Dallas Mavericks' matchup with the Brooklyn Nets and fans should expect him to play. Doncic was questionable for Dallas' first game against San Antonio with a left calf strain, but he ended up playing.
Dallas Mavericks' full injury report vs Detroit Pistons on October 20
The Dallas Mavericks had three players on their injury report ahead of their matchup with the San Antonio Spurs (Jaden Hardy, Luka Doncic, and Dwight Powell), but all three were available for the game.
Dallas' entire roster is listed as available for their Friday night showdown with the Nets other than their three two-way players (Greg Brown III, Dexter Dennis, and A.J. Lawson).
Nic Claxton and Dariq Whitehead are both out for Brooklyn.
