The Dallas Mavericks have gone on a tear since Luka Doncic returned from a ten-game absence in early January. They are 16-6 during that stretch as the Mavs have continued to thrive through a Tim Hardaway Jr. injury, trading Kristaps Porzingis, and dealing with health and safety protocol issues. The hot stretch has been fueled by Doncic and his return to his first-team All-NBA form.

The Mavericks played three games last week, and Luka was absolutely sensational every time out. He had the first 50-point game for his career, a 33-point double-double in a win over the Pistons, and closed the week with 45 and 15 against the rival Clippers. Doncic broke his franchise record for most points in a three-game stretch.

The Mavs superstar was named the Western Conference Player of the Week on Feb. 14 after averaging 43.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.0 block per game over the last three. It was Luka’s first one of the season, but likely not the last. Here is a closer look at why.

It was an incredible week for Luka that continues a blazing hot stretch. Over his last 20 games, the 22-year-old superstar averages 29.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 9.7 assists, and 1.4 steals in 35.8 minutes per game.  Yes, Doncic has nearly averaged a 30-point triple-double per game since Jan. 3, and he does not appear to be slowing down.

Luka Doncic won the Western Conference Player of the Week award for the fifth time in his NBA career, and more are likely on the horizon this season. The Dallas Mavericks superstar is unstoppable right now. Defenses are throwing everything at Doncic, and he has all the answers.
