The Dallas Mavericks dominated the Phoenix Suns 113-86 on May 12 behind an incredible performance from superstar Luka Doncic. The 23-year-old finished with 33 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and four steals as the Mavs outscored the Suns by 15 in his 35 minutes of action. Doncic was 11 of 26 from the field and made nine free throws in Game 6.

The Mavericks were facing elimination, but Luka was not going to let that happen. The 6’7 guard had the offense rolling all night. He attacked the paint and forced the Suns' defense to react to him in an impressive team performance from the Mavericks that forced a Game 7 in Phoenix.

Doncic made some history on Thursday night as he kept the Mavs season alive. Here is a look at all the impressive records he set in the Game 6 win.

Luka scored his 700th playoff point on Thursday night, and he was the third-fastest player in terms of games played to reach that mark behind only Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain.

Doncic also broke Dirk Nowitzki’s franchise record by producing his sixth 30-point, ten-rebound, five-assist postseason game. According to ESPN’s Stats and Info, it took the Mavericks GOAT 145 postseason games to get five, but Doncic produced six in 22 contests.

Doncic was just the fifth player in NBA history to produce 33-11-8 in a playoff game, and he far and away holds the record for points per game in elimination contests by averaging 39.0. The 23-year-old takes his game to another level on the biggest stages, and he did that again on May 12.

It was an incredible performance from Luka Doncic, and the Dallas Mavericks will need another one if they are going to advance to the Western Conference Finals. The Mavs have not won in Phoenix since 2019, but they plan on changing that on Sunday. Dallas must bring its defense and shooting on top of a monster performance from Luka if they are going to pull the upset. Do not miss it.
