The Dallas Mavericks made a seamless transition from one legend to another as the team traded for Luka Doncic just as Dirk Nowitzki was wrapping up his Hall of Fame career. The duo shared the court for one memorable season that gave Luka a glimpse at how beloved he could be if plays his entire career in Dallas. Nowitzki is the Mavericks GOAT, but after three seasons Doncic is setting a pace to make a run at this throne.

The two share a special bond. Nowitzki helped Doncic add his signature one-legged fadeaway to his arsenal. The Mavs hired Dirk as a special advisor this summer, and he traveled to Slovenia with Mark Cuban, Nico Harrison, Jason Kidd, and Michael Finley to present Luka with his historic contract extension.

Fans will not want to miss that game or a second of the action. Luka figures to be in the MVP race as the Mavs attempt to get back into title contention.
