Luka Doncic stays atop Kia MVP ladder on Nov. 25

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has been on fire to begin the season. He leads the league in scoring along with currently being top 20 in rebounds, assists, and steals per game. Doncic is unstoppable and opposing teams are just praying he does not go for 40 against them.
Number 77 took over the lead in NBA.com’s Kia MVP ladder on Nov. 18 thanks to his incredible play. The Mavs are just 9-8 to start the season, but Luka has been so impressive that it is impossible not to have him at the front of the race for Most Valuable Player.
Doncic stayed atop the ladder on Nov. 25, and here is a look at the top five shakeup and more on Luka’s impressive statistical resume through the first six weeks of the season.

In the last week, Doncic had a 33-point triple-double, 22-9-8, and 42 points against the Boston Celtics. The Mavericks won just one of those games, but that was no fault of Luka’s. The 23-year-old is must-see as he does something incredible every time he steps on the floor.
Doncic and Jayson Tatum stayed one and two on the ladder with Nikola Jokic moving up to third and Stephen Curry sneaking into the top five behind Giannis Antetokounmpo. The MVP race is shaping up to be hotly contested throughout the season, but Luka has the early edge.
The advanced metrics love Doncic this season. He leads the NBA in win shares, and he is second in usage, VORP, box score plus-minus, and offensive win shares.
Nobody can stop Luka Doncic right now, and it is a joy to watch. He wants to help his team win more games, but number 77 keeps making the correct basketball play. It may not be all glitz and glamor, but when the shots start falling, the Mavericks will be tough to defeat.
