Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic will be leading the Slovenian National Team at EuroBasket 2022. It is the first time the European championships have been held since 2017 when a teenage Doncic made the All-Tournament squad as Slovenia took home the championship. Luka was a basketball prodigy when he joined Real Madrid at 14, but EuroBasket 2017 was his breakout performance, and he has only improved since.

The media picked Doncic as the favorite to win MVP at this year’s EuroBasket, and Slovenia enters among the favorites to repeat. Serbia, Greece, and France present the stiffest challenges. Luka has gone 20-3 with the senior national team with the last loss coming just days ago in World Cup qualifying as Germany pulled a shocking upset. Expect that loss to have number 77 motivated and focused for EuroBasket.

The teams are making their final preparations for the European championships, which kick off on Sept. 1. That included a photo shoot on Tuesday that Doncic managed to wreck. Here is a closer look at the hilarious video.

Luka was joined by Goran Dragic and Vlatko Cancar for the Slovenian National Team’s photo shoot. The trio posed for multiple pictures, including one where their backs were facing the camera. Doncic was holding a ball in the photo that he harmless tossed after the snapshots were taken. Things did not go as planned from there, and fans can see the hilarious video below.

The Mavericks superstar is hoping to wreck the competition at EuroBasket, but he had no plans of breaking the backdrop during his photo shoot. Luka had a hilarious reaction to the toss, and fans know he will be playing with joy as he looks to lead his country to their second straight EuroBasket championship.

Luka Doncic and Slovenian National Team kick off their EuroBasket slate against Lithuania on Sept. 1 in a rematch of their Olympic qualifier final last summer. Doncic had a 31-point triple-double in the victory, and they will need another monster performance from the 23-year-old to top Domantas Sabonis and Jonas Valanciunas in the EuroBasket opener. Do not miss it.
