1. New York Knicks

Similar to the Miami Heat trade, the New York Knicks would make this deal in an attempt to capitalize on the momentum of their current postseason run, bringing in another star to improve their title chances.

Jalen Brunson has already proven his ability to play with another ball-dominant guard, as he spent plenty of time playing with Luka Doncic. If anything, Irving would be easier to play with because of how comfortable he is off the ball.

The backcourt would be small, but this could create a starting lineup of Brunson, Irving, Josh Hart, Julius Randle, and Mitchell Robinson in New York.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks would round out their roster a bit with this deal, grabbing three rotational pieces to strengthen the team around Doncic.

RJ Barrett has shown flashes of stardom, but there isn’t enough consistency there yet. A change of scenery could help propel him forward, and his defensive presence would likely please Jason Kidd.

Isaiah Hartenstein would be an immediate upgrade at the center position for the Mavericks. His rebounding and interior defense would give them a huge boost.

Lastly, Obi Toppin has shown improvement with his 3-point shot, and with his elite athleticism, Doncic would have a great lob threat to work with.

Add in the second-rounder, and this would be a solid deal for Dallas.
