Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving had arguably his worst game with his new team on Sunday afternoon. The Mavs blew a 27-point lead in a loss to the Lakers. Irving had a 21-point double-double, but he made just eight of his 22 field goal attempts, including two of ten from 3-point range. It was a forgettable night for the entire team as they inexcusably lost a crucial game.

The Mavericks face the Indiana Pacers for the first time this season on Feb. 28, but Irving played them three times when he was still with the Nets. The eight-time All-Star scored 20-plus in all three games, including a 35-point explosion back in October.

Dallas needs to bounce back on Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center, and that starts with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Will Kyrie play against the Pacers? Get the latest injury updates here.

Will Kyrie Irving play in Dallas Mavericks vs. Indiana Pacers on Feb 28?

Irving does not appear on the injury report heading into Tuesday’s game. The 30-year-old superstar will handle his normal workload against the Pacers, and fans should expect a monster performance.

Maxi Kleber was upgraded to questionable for the first time since tearing his hamstring back in December. He could make his much-needed return on Tuesday night, and supporters should stay tuned for updates throughout the day. Davis Bertans is out with a calf injury.

The Pacers ruled out Kendall Brown as he recovers from a stress fracture in his leg.

Kyrie Irving's injury history

Irving missed the final game before the All-Star break with a back injury, but he has been otherwise healthy since arriving in Dallas. Kyrie is an unrestricted free agent this summer. He wants a massive payday, so expect the eight-time All-Star to stay on the floor down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Will Kyrie Irving pair with Luka Doncic tonight?

Both Luka and Kyrie are healthy and ready to bounce back against the Pacers. Expect the superstar duo to come out firing on Tuesday night, and both could drop 30-plus against Rick Carlisle’s current team.

Dallas Mavericks' next 5 opponents

The Mavs are in the middle of a six-game homestand. The final three are difficult matchups against playoff hopefuls. After Tuesday’s game against the Pacers, Dallas faces six straight teams fighting for postseason position. With the standings bunched in the Western Conference, every game matters down the stretch, so the Mavericks need to figure things out and get on track as soon as possible.
