Grade the Trade: Mavericks land Knicks All-Star forward in blockbuster proposal

Grading the trade for the New York Knicks
If the New York Knicks made this move, they'd be trading their star forward from the last five years in Julius Randle, but they'd be acquiring serious depth in exchange for him.
They'd be acquiring Daniel Gafford, Jaden Hardy, and P.J. Washington, three players who would be ready to contribute right away, and this is the type of move that could take the Knicks to the next level.
Randle missed significant time for the Knicks this past season due to injury, and they may decide to move on from him sometime soon. He historically hasn't been a good playoff performer for the Knicks, and they'd be landing three high-level role players.
While Gafford would likely have the chance to battle Mitchell Robinson for the starting center spot and Washington could start at the four, Hardy would come off the bench. Trading for two potential starters would be huge for them, and they would undoubtedly get better after this move.
Washington showed how deadly he can be from downtown against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the playoffs last season, and he is reportedly working hard on his jumper this summer as the Mavs are trying to "retool" his shot.
Gafford and Robinson would be a solid center combo, and although losing Isaiah Hartenstein was a big blow, Gafford would be a good backup option.
The Knicks get an A- for this trade as they land three players who could contribute for them right away, and this prevents them from risking Randle leaving for nothing.
