Mavericks land Julius Randle in mock blockbuster trade with Knicks

In this mock blockbuster trade with the New York Knicks, the Dallas Mavericks shock everyone and make another groundbreaking move after signing Klay Thompson a couple of weeks ago. Dallas would land an absolute monster to play power forward, but it wouldn't be for cheap.

As shown below, the Mavs give up an absolute haul to make this trade go through, but they land a three-time All-Star to turn their starting lineup into a powerhouse.

Mavs land Randle

In this blockbuster trade proposed by Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report, the Mavs land Julius Randle in exchange for P.J. Washington, Daniel Gafford, Jaden Hardy, and multiple second-round picks.

This move required Dallas to give up two starters from last season in Washington and Gafford, a role player who was huge for them in the playoffs in Hardy, and two second-round picks. Nico Harrison would have to be feeling extremely aggressive if he were to make this move, but Randle would be a big upgrade from Washington at the starting power forward spot.

With this trade, the Mavs would then have two monsters down low in Dereck Lively II and Randle, and their roster would look completely different. Randle has a player option after next season, and this move would give the Mavs a new starting forward and add a ton more scoring.

The Knicks would reload their bench with this move by adding two elite role players along with a young guard with potential.

Next, we grade the trade for both sides and discuss how each team would fare if they made this move.
