Shooting guard: Kyrie Irving

Ideally, Kyrie Irving will still be with the Dallas Mavericks in five years.

This would mean that he is 37 years old at this point and likely won't be as dominant as he is today, but that doesn't mean that he can't still be a good starter in the NBA and be an elite one-two punch with Luka Doncic.

Irving showed a better ability to stay healthy last season outside of a couple of small things and a freak accident that included Dwight Powell landing on his leg in a game, and his health would be the key for Dallas to invest in him for the long term.

Irving has loved Dallas for the year and a half that he's been here, and if the rest of this contract goes well, I wouldn't be shocked if he signs another one. Him still being in Dallas in 2029 seems like a long shot, but it's far from impossible.

His game hasn't aged much and he still remains one of the most skilled players in the league. Last season, Irving averaged 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 41.1 percent from downtown.

Irving and Doncic's on-court chemistry was incredible last season, and it is only poised to grow as the years go on.

Hopefully, by this point, Irving has won at least one championship with the Mavs and was playing his final couple of seasons with the team before hanging it up. He is still confident in his skills, and if his health can stay good, the Mavs will be golden.
