Dallas Mavericks GOAT Dirk Nowitzki is bringing back his tennis classic for the first time in three years. The event will take place at the SMU Tennis Complex on Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. CT.
For fans not familiar with the event, Nowitzki gets a host of celebrities to play for charity as he shows some love for one of his favorite sports. The annual event was always a fantastic opportunity to see Nowitzki up close and potentially get to meet the Tall Baller from the G. Current Mavs superstar Luka Doncic will be returning to play in the event for the second time, and supporters know he will be signing plenty of autographs on Sept. 25.
Nowitzki and Doncic will both showcase their tennis skills, but they will not be the only ones. Here is a look at some others who are set to play and what to expect from Luka and Dirk.
Dirk Nowitzki brings back his tennis classic and Luka Doncic will play
Former professional tennis players Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish will both play on Sept. 25, and fans can get tickets for $41 on Ticketmaster. The proceeds from the event go to the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation.
Roddick enters the favorite to win the round-robin tournament, but Mavericks fans will be watching Dirk and Luka closely. Doncic showed some impressive tennis skills in the 2019 version of the event, and Nowitzki has a mean serve. Roddick is the former number one player in the World, and Dirk's tennis classic always features plenty of star power for fans of the sport.
There will be plenty of entertainment and laughs to go along with some tennis on Sept. 25 at SMU. Dallas Mavericks fans should come out to enjoy the day as they will get a chance to meet both Luka Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki. There will be plenty of fun, and all the proceeds benefit fantastic causes, so do not miss it.
