Jaylen Brown is the perfect fit on Dallas Mavericks next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving

The Mavs need to improve their defense, rebounding, and rim protection around Luka and Kyrie to be serious title contenders. Dallas will be in the market for a center upgrade this offseason. The Mavericks thought they had one when they signed JaVale McGee last summer, but that did not work out. Dallas must find a big man that can control the paint before the start of the 2023-2024 season.

Beyond that, they need size and defense on the wings. The Mavs had to trade their best perimeter defender, Dorian Finney-Smith, to acquire Irving. Losing Spencer Dinwiddie too has left Dallas undersized on the wings and lacking that perimeter stopper.

Jaylen Brown gives them an elite offensive option along with outstanding defense. The 6’6 wing can guard nearly every player on the court, and he relishes taking on elite scorers. Adding a 3-and-D and center along with Brown would make the Mavericks the most feared team in the NBA.

The Dallas Mavericks could offer JB the perfect package. He has strong relationships with Jason Kidd and Kyrie Irving coming in, and they give him a chance to both contend for championships and further his off-court pursuits. What more could he want?
