4. Antawn Jamison - 2004 Sixth Man of the Year
There are fans that might forget that Antawn Jamison played for the Mavericks. Jamison spent the first five seasons of his career with the Golden State Warriors.
In August 2003, Jamison was traded to the Mavericks in a nine-player deal. The Mavs were hoping Jamison would bring his success in Golden State to Dallas. Jamison averaged at least 19 points per game over the previous four seasons, and twice averaged over 22 points per game.
In the 2003-04 season, Jamison would become the second Maverick ever to take home the Sixth Man of the Year award. While being a consistent starter in Golden State, Jamison fit in Dallas coming off the bench with averaging 14.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and shot 40 percent from three.
The Mavs would win 52 games to claim the fifth seed in the Western Conference, but the team was eliminated in five games in the first round by the Sacramento Kings. After the playoffs, Jamison's time in Dallas would end after just one season.
Dallas would trade Jamison to the Washington Wizards where he would become an All-Star twice, and become a consistent scorer again. Jamison would have to watch the Mavericks make two NBA Finals appearances and win one of them when he was still in the league before he retired following the 2013-14 season.
