1. Kyrie Irving

The Dallas Mavericks pulled off the biggest midseason trade in franchise history when they traded for Kyrie Irving at the 2023 trade deadline. They sent Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, and draft capital to the Brooklyn Nets for Irving, and now the trade has gone full circle as Dinwiddie is back with the Mavs.

Dinwiddie will be able to share the floor with Irving, and the two will likely form a solid duo when playing together. They were teammates in Brooklyn at one point as well, and both players have turned into good leaders over the years.

Irving will benefit from the Dinwiddie signing because Dinwiddie can take the pressure off Irving when needed. Irving has showcased his ability to play with or without the ball in his hands over the last two seasons in Dallas, and Dinwiddie has the capability to bring the ball up the floor and playmake some when sharing the floor with Irving but not Doncic.

Having two playmakers on the floor will give opposing defenses nightmares, and both players have the ability to take over the game when needed. This signing will definitely make things easier on Irving, and the duo will likely share the floor together often.
