4. Makes sense: Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons are one of the few teams that Dallas has reportedly called this season, and the Mavs have called about one of their young big men. Dallas has reportedly shown "great interest" in trading for Isaiah Stewart, and he just happens to fit the mold of the type of player that Dallas is looking to trade for.

The Mavericks want a power forward to pair with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, and Stewart can play the four. His contract extension he just signed also happens to be four years, just like Josh Green's, and a trade that involves swapping Green and Stewart seems like a move that would benefit both teams.

The Pistons do already have several young guards, but the fact that Dallas and Detroit have had various trade talks that date back to the summer raises an eyebrow. Dallas was in trade rumors for Bojan Bogdanovic and Killian Hayes, and the Pistons could look to throw one of those two players in a deal to Dallas before the deadline.

This would open up a spot in the rotation for Green, and a trade that involves Green and Stewart just makes so much sense. Dallas needs another big man before they need a developing guard, and Stewart's ability to stretch the floor and bring tenacity off the bench could intrigue Dallas enough to make a move for him.
