Heading into tonight's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Dallas Mavericks are sitting at 19-15 and have lost three of their last four games.

Things have not gone Dallas' way over the last few games, but they received great news ahead of their last game against the Utah Jazz, as Kyrie Irving returned from injury. Irving dropped 14 points in his return, but Dallas ultimately ended up losing the game.

With the NBA's trade deadline quickly approaching, the Mavs have been in a few rumors. One of those is their reported interest in Pascal Siakam. Although their interest may not be as serious as the other reported teams, Dallas could shock everyone and make a move for him.

Regardless of whether they trade for Siakam or not, it seems that some type of move is evident for the Mavs. They need to add at least one more piece to make an NBA Finals push, and their defense and rebounding haven't been great.

Here are three players who were named as the Dallas Mavericks' "top three trade targets" by Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley.

3. Alex Caruso

Although there has been no reported interest on Dallas' end in Alex Caruso yet, it's no shocker that he ends up on this list.

This season for the Chicago Bulls, Caruso is averaging 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.8 steals per game. He has been one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA for multiple seasons, and adding him to the Mavericks would be a perfect match.

Caruso could be used in lineups with both Luka Doncic and Irving to help defend the best guard on the floor and could provide a spark off the bench.

Caruso has also turned into a deadly 3-point shooter, making him even more valuable on the trade market. He is shooting an excellent 45.5 percent from downtown on 3.6 attempts per game.

Caruso would be a massive addition to the Mavericks' playoff push, his asking price may just be too high for Dallas. The Bulls aren't going to give him up easily, and contenders across the league are going to be calling about him.
