Thing that propelled Dallas Mavericks to Game 4 win over Warriors: 2. Drive and kick

The Mavs need to be aggressive in this series. Driving into the paint forces the Warriors' defense to collapse and it creates open looks on the perimeter. Luka Doncic, Jalen Brunson, and Spencer Dinwiddie have all had big games in this series because of their ability to get into the paint and find open shooters.

The Mavericks attacked in Games 2 and 3, but the open shots did not fall. They put their heads down and got into the paint on May 24 to flip the result in their favor. Luka did not have his best game, but he was aggressive going inside which resulted in 30 points and nine assists in Game 4.

Dallas has increased the tempo when Doncic is on the bench, and it has worked well. Jalen Brunson and Spencer Dinwiddie push the ball and try to get inside. The Mavericks held a 17-9 edge in the second quarter without Luka which helped build the lead in Game 4.

When things started to falter for Dallas in the fourth quarter, Doncic came back in and won them the game by attacking the rim. He threw down a dunk and created easy buckets.

The Dallas Mavericks need that aggressiveness if they are going to go to San Francisco and win Game 5 on Thursday night. Expect Doncic, Brunson, and Dinwiddie to keep attacking.
