3 reasons the Mavericks should trade Jaden Hardy
By Jack Simone
The Dallas Mavericks entered the summer with one broad goal in mind - put a playoff-caliber team around Luka Doncic. Obviously, creating a championship-level roster would be ideal, but after missing the Play-In this past year, starting with the playoffs was the priority.
And so far, they have done a great job at forming a quality group around their star(s), with their top move being the re-signing of Kyrie Irving, who will now be in Dallas for the next three years.
On top of that, they traded for Grant Williams and Richaun Holmes, signed Seth Curry and Dante Exum, and drafted Dereck Lively II and Olivier-Maxence Prosper.
Despite all that, recent rumblings have indicated that the Mavericks could be interested in making more trades. And while the main candidates to be dealt are Tim Hardaway Jr. and JaVale McGee, one other player should be added to that list.
Jaden Hardy.

And it’s also clear why the Mavericks would want to trade McGee, as he wasn’t an effective part of their rotation this past season, and they have recently reshaped their center position.
But what about Hardy?
Here are three reasons why Dallas should trade Hardy.
