The Dallas Mavericks have had quite the busy summer as they've added loads of perimeter and wing defense through the draft, free agency, and via trade. Contrary to many offseasons in recent team history, the Mavericks placed a premium on youth and prioritized adding gettable players on team-friendly contracts.
But the Mavericks are still left with a clear vacancy at starting center. As insider Marc Stein has repeatedly said this offseason, Dallas would still like to add a veteran rim protector via trade, if possible, before training camp.
The Mavericks may or may not have the wherewithal to pull such a deal in time, as the NBA's biggest domino pieces, James Harden and Damian Lillard, have yet to be traded this offseason.
If Lillard or Harden are traded before training camp, it could most definitely spark league-wide interest to get in on the residual fallout that may come out of either of those mega trades.
But even if neither one of Harden or Lillard is traded before training camp, Nico Harrison could potentially still have a trade up his sleeve before training camp starts in just a little over a month for Dallas.
And if that were to happen, the Mavericks would need to take stock of all of their players, see who other teams may have an interest in, and make a deal accordingly. Who has the most value on the Mavericks? Who should they move on from?
Here, we breakdown all 15 Mavericks from least likely to most likely to be traded before training camp.
