Will Luka Doncic win the 2024 NBA MVP award?

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is having the best season of his career and has been a walking triple-double all season long, but he seems to be getting overlooked in the NBA MVP conversation.

The media is always quick to mention Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or Nikola Jokic, and Doncic isn't in talks as much as he should be.

This season for Dallas, Doncic is averaging 34.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 9.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game while shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from behind the arc. He has quietly turned into an elite shooter this season, and the media has seemed to turn their backs on him when it comes to the MVP award.

If Dallas can end the season on a big winning streak and possibly grab the No. 4 seed, then Doncic will have a much better chance at winning the MVP. If not, it doesn't look like he'll be winning it.

The MVP award doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things, especially for Doncic. He just wants to win an NBA Championship.

This looks like a possibility this year, as the chemistry and energy of the team are outstanding right now. Getting hot at the right time is important for the playoffs, and this is exactly what the Mavs are doing right now.

The Mavs' next game is tonight against the Utah Jazz.

For all the latest on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks this season, stay tuned.
