1. Jaden Hardy

Similarly to Exum, Jaden Hardy enters a critical year in his young career. Last season, Hardy flashed the potential to be a great scorer off the bench. But during the playoffs, he was pretty much played out of his role entirely until the Western Conference Finals.

Hardy now enters a situation on the Mavericks where he could be traded at the deadline for draft compensation or a veteran piece who can contribute to a championship-contending team.

Hardy's skillsets rely on his offensive creation and the ability to get to his spots with his dribble package. Despite flashing potential last season, Hardy largely declined from his impressive rookie season.

This season, Hardy has a lot of pressure to perform well out of the gate, but he has plenty of competition at the guard position. Since being drafted by Dallas, Hardy has always been one of the leading bench scorers when checked in the game. With Dinwiddie on the roster, it creates a huge question mark surrounding Hardy's role for the Mavericks.

During the Finals, the Mavericks lacked creation and shot-making off the bench which Hardy could have likely aided in that problem. With Dinwiddie on the roster now, it created a clog for guard creation between the two.

Training camp will tell a lot about where Jason Kidd's mind is at when it comes to the Mavericks' main rotation but all signs are pointing to Hardy once again riding the bench unless something changes.

As mentioned before, Hardy will need to prove to be more efficient during the training camp and at the beginning of the season if he wishes to crack the Mavericks' every-night rotation.
