The Dallas Mavericks are sitting at 34-26 after Friday night's loss to the Boston Celtics, and their next game is tomorrow against the Philadelphia 76ers at home.

The Mavs are getting healthy at the perfect time, and this team looks like they can make a deep playoff run due to the improved depth and chemistry of the entire team.

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are proving that they are one of the best duos in the NBA, while role players such as P.J. Washington and Dereck Lively II are getting it done on both ends of the floor.

This roster is the deepest it has been since the 2021-22 season, and the Mavs have a chance to win any game that Luka plays in.

While Dallas' roster is deep, there is always room for improvement. The Mavs currently have an open roster spot since they traded three players while acquiring two, and the buyout market could be where they address this need.

Here are five players the Dallas Mavericks should sign to fill their open roster spot.

5. Marcus Morris

The San Antonio Spurs bought out Marcus Morris, and he'd be an intriguing fit on the Dallas Mavs if they were to pursue him.

This season, Morris is averaging 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 40 percent from downtown. He isn't the same player that he once was, but he'd be a good fit off the bench to give the Mavs some wing depth.

Dallas already has Marcus' brother Markieff on the team, and he'd likely love it if the Mavs were to sign Marcus. Marcus would bring toughness and 3-point shooting to the Mavs' frontcourt, and he has the ability to play both the small forward and power forward spot.

This is a move that the Mavs could consider due to Jones Jr.'s struggles, and Marcus Morris would give the Mavs a better shooter than Jones Jr., but a worse defender.
