3. Olivier-Maxence Prosper

The Dallas Mavericks would snag the No. 24 pick from the Sacramento Kings in a draft night trade that would also include Richaun Holmes in the deal. With that No. 24 pick, the Mavericks would select Marquette forward, Olivier-Maxence Prosper. Many regard Prosper as the steal of the draft.

Prosper would arguably have the best Summer League out of any Mav that was on the roster at the time. He showcased his 3-point shooting along with defensive tenacity. Fans didn't expect to see Prosper burst out of the gates and become a difference-maker in his first season, but many believe Prosper could become an intricate part of the 2023-24 Dallas Mavericks.

His ability to push the pace on both sides of the floor will make him an easy outlet pass away from a slam dunk. Conversely, Prosper's size and athleticism force defenders to cough up bad shots or pass out of favorable opportunities. His 3-point shot will help spread the floor, and alongside Doncic could prove lethal for opposing defenders.

A huge need for the Mavericks was someone who wasn't afraid to get bumps and bruises and Prosper fills exactly this need. Mavericks fans got accustomed to seeing Prosper diving after loose balls or going all out for rebounds.

Prosper will need to continue developing, but out of anyone on this list, Prosper could have the highest odds to shock Mavericks fans. It will be hard for Jason Kidd to not play Prosper consistent minutes.
