After the Dallas Mavericks' most recent victory over the Toronto Raptors, the vibes are high given the Mavericks' newest trade acquisitions are thriving on both sides of the ball and Dallas managed to snap a two-game losing streak at a very crucial juncture of the season.

Dallas still has a lot of work to do this season if they want to avoid the Play-In Tournament, as they have one of their toughest matchups of the season versus the Boston Celtics in TD Garden on Friday night.

After seeing the increased dynamism on both sides of the ball that Dallas has displayed post-trade deadline, many people are starting to agree with the takes that Mavericks players and Dallas media have made all season, as Dallas has finally gotten some attention on the national level.

P.J. Washington makes bold take about Mavericks' star duo of Luka and Kyrie

P.J. Washington took to the podium after Dallas' Wednesday night victory over Toronto, as he had his highest scoring total since he's been with the Mavericks with 23 points. Washington also had three blocks in the contest, as he's rapidly proving to be the Mavericks' best non-big defender on the roster.

Even more impressive though has been Washington's attitude and demeanor since he's been in Dallas, as he sought his post-game presser after the Toronto game as an opportunity to make a bold prediction about Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving when he was asked about them.

Washington essentially acclaimed Doncic and Irving as the best duo in the NBA, which is the exact type of confidence and buy-in into his organization and teammates that Mavericks fans should love to see from a player who has only been on the team for a few weeks.

Doncic and Irving are objectively one of the best duos in the league as they've proved throughout this season and recent stretch, squashing narratives that national analysts had before the season who said that they couldn't play together. However, there are some very good duos in the league at the moment so we'll likely have to wait and see till the playoffs to affirm Washington's take as true or not.

Nonetheless, it's great to see Washington enjoying his time in Dallas and building camaraderie with his teammates, as he has the talent to become Dallas' third scoring option if he continues to stay the course offensively.
