Before even playing a game for the Dallas Mavericks, Olivier-Maxence Prosper has become a fan favorite.

The Mavs made the unexpected move of trading back into the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft and used the traded player exception from the earlier trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder to draft Prosper and land Richaun Holmes.

It was one of the biggest draft nights for the Mavs in the past few years, and they got much more athletic and gained frontcourt depth in the span of just a few hours.

Prosper has become a fan favorite in Dallas through his play in the Summer League and his demeanor and excitement to be playing for the Mavs. He and Dereck Lively II were so excited to be teammates on draft night, and they could be two of the future faces of the franchise depending on how their games translate to the NBA.

Prosper has already been compared to Pascal Siakam, and an NBA coach even thought he was a veteran by how well he was playing at an offseason run. It looks like the Mavs made a great pick by selecting him, and fans should be excited to see how he plays in the league.

On Monday night, Prosper posted his new-look hair on Instagram, and it has fans buzzing as it's a look we've never seen from him (or at least in a long time).

Prosper is now sporting braids, and it looks like he had just got a fresh cut over the weekend.

The NBA season can't come soon enough, and Mavs fans' first chance to see O-Max in action will be on October 5 as the Mavs play the Minnesota Timberwolves in a preseason game in Abu Dhabi. Dallas' first regular season game is on October 25 against the San Antonio Spurs.

We'll have you covered with all the latest news and rumors surrounding Olivier-Maxence Prosper and the Dallas Mavericks this offseason, so stay tuned.
