Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has been making his case for being the best player in the world for over one year now. He pushed Slovenia to fourth in Olympics in their first time qualifying. Doncic led the Mavs over the top-seeded Suns in dominant fashion, and he is now leading the NBA in scoring. Luka deserves to be mentioned among the NBA’s best.

The Ringer released a fresh set of playing rankings on Dec. 14, and Luka was fourth. Giannis Antetokounmpo grabbed the top spot with Stephen Curry and Nikola Jokic also checking in ahead of number 77.

MFFLs likely wanted to see Doncic a bit higher, but he has cemented himself as a top-five player with a case to be number one. Luka needs to strengthen that case if he wants to take over as the consensus top player in the NBA moving forward.
