2. Victor Wembanyama

Last Week's Rank: 1

Victor Wembanyama faces his first bit of adversity in this week's power rankings, dropping one spot.

Wembanyma hasn't let off the gas one moment this season. The rookie phenom has averaged 19 points, nine rebounds, and just short of three blocks this season. However, in the last few games, his production has dropped.

With the San Antonio Spurs' 3-12 record, it's had a direct correlation with Wembayama and his on-court production. At one point, the Spurs were sitting in the driver's seat of their season and controlled a top-six seeding. But after some head-scratching play from the young roster, they have lost that momentum.

Over his last 10 games, Wembanyama has shot an abysmal 25 percent from behind the arc. This could be just a traditional rookie slump, but it's still a worrisome stat for fans when that's where the bulk of his offense comes from.

Defensively, the rookie phenom has looked more impressive than ever. Teams have tried taking Wembanyama out of the play by flipping the offense to his opposite side. But due to his freakish wingspan, Wembanyama has affected every play.

It's still important that the young Frenchman continues to develop his game. But it's clear to see why he's one of the best prospects the NBA world has ever seen.
