3. Brandon Miller

Last week's rank: 4

Miller and Jaquez Jr. swap places in this week's ranking.

Brandon Miller has had a strong week of games, including scoring ten plus in 17 of his 19 games played. The former second overall pick has proven to be one of the best scorers of his draft class, and it's easy to see why.

Despite the Hornets' bad record, Miller has been one of the team's bright spots. He's been the Hornets' leading scorer in multiple games this season already and has looked good doing it. Miller being on a bad team has allowed him to get more shots up than he would anywhere else.

His percentage from the field is low due to the amount of shots he gets up a game. However, for a young rookie, this can be a blessing in disguise. Early in the season, Miller's shot chart and production were really low. This would be the reason Miller got off to such a slow start in his rookie season.

Miller will eventually need to learn the ropes of how an NBA system works, but for now, allowing the young forward to develop his shot and gain confidence is important.

Defensively, Miller has had multiple steal games this past week. If he can continue to showcase his defensive capabilities, his stock as a rookie will rise dramatically. Miller still has a lot of kinks to workout as a professional, but the foundation has been laid for a future star.
