Jalen Rose predicts Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will win MVP in 2023

The Dallas Mavericks want to take another step forward in 2023. Superstar Luka Doncic has set the goal of winning the championship after the Mavs reached the conference finals last season. Fans know Doncic takes his game to another level in the postseason, and they should never count him out.

Luka is focused on his conditioning this summer. He admitted to taking too much time off last summer, and it resulted in a slow start. Dallas was the second-best team in the league down the stretch, but Doncic only finished fifth in MVP voting because of his poor beginning.

When Luka is fully locked in he is the best player in the NBA. No defense can slow him down, and he gives his team a chance to win every time out. Rose had this to say about Doncic after the duo noted that he looks to be taking his conditioning seriously.

"Luka being in the best shape of his life is going to be a game-changer, not only for the Mavs but for the NBA."

Rose continued by talking about an athlete’s realization that what goes into their body impacts their play, and how it can change their life. He continued with this.

"Now, Luka is going to be training. You see videos of him actually training now, and so based on that, do not be surprised, if he balls the way he balled last year in the playoffs, in particular, it keeps elevating with the additions that they’ve added this offseason. He’s in pole position for me. I don’t know what Vegas says, but I’m going to be Roastradamus here. Luka is winning MVP this year."

Luka Doncic has all the makings of an MVP, and most believe he will win multiple times before his career is over. His special combination of stats while leading his team to victory makes for the perfect recipe in the MVP race. Rose thinks Doncic will win his first in 2023, and this is just the beginning for number 77.
