Mavericks' Luka Doncic compares Iowa star Caitlin Clark to NBA legend
By Noah Weber
Heading into tonight's game against the Golden State Warriors, the Dallas Mavericks are 45-29 and have won seven games in a row.
Dallas looks like they can beat anyone right now, and Luka Doncic is playing at an MVP level. Doncic is averaging 34 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game while shooting 48.9 percent from the field and 38 percent from downtown.
Doncic has been the talk of the entire NBA world as of late, but a different basketball star from the University of Iowa named Caitlin Clark is the talk of the town.

Clark and the Hawkeyes took down the LSU Tigers last night in the Elite Eight to advance to the Final Four, and Clark dropped 41 points and dished out 12 assists in this game. Clark has been the face of women's basketball, and Doncic recently gave her a legendary comparison to one of the best NBA players of all time.
When asked if Clark reminds Doncic of himself, Doncic said that she reminds him of Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry. Curry has become one of the best point guards in NBA history, and Clark drawing this comparison in college is nothing short of legendary.
Clark was the best shooter in all of college basketball this season, and she has helped get more eyes on women's basketball. She has a chance to go down as an all-time great, and fans would love to see a shooting competition between Clark and Curry one day.
This is the perfect idea for an NBA All-Star Game event next year on All-Star Saturday night, and only time will tell if Clark will live up to her big comparison to Curry that she drew from Doncic. Clark and the Hawkeyes' next game is on Friday against the Connecticut Huskies.
For all the latest on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks this season, stay tuned.
