Mavericks star Kyrie Irving spotted in viral workout video with former NBA MVP
By Noah Weber
The Dallas Mavericks fulfilled their No. 1 offseason priority when they re-signed Kyrie Irving to a three-year deal on the first night of free agency.
It always looked like Irving was going to stay in Dallas, but Mavs fans know way too well the feeling of missing in free agency. The Mavs didn't look great after making the trade, as they missed the playoffs, but even Irving knew this trade was for the long-term, and the Mavs couldn't be a championship contender right away.
The Mavs now have to quickly figure out the perfect way to build around Luka Doncic and Irving.

Irving is only guaranteed two more seasons in Dallas, and Doncic is only guaranteed three more seasons. Dallas' championship clock is ticking, and hopefully, they can return to the playoffs this season.
Irving played great in the 20 games he played for the Mavs last season, and looks like he is fully locked in on preparing for next season.
Irving was recently spotted working out with the 2017 NBA MVP Russell Westbrook in a viral Instagram video. The video shows Irving attacking and kicking the ball to Westbrook in the corner before he drives to the rim and finishes with a two-handed slam.
Westbrook and Irving are obviously friends and are often seen chopping it up when they play against each other. Last season, Westbrook averaged 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. Once Westbrook was traded to the Clippers, he was playing much better and efficiently than he was for the Lakers.
There is also another video from the same workout that shows Irving working on his spin fadeaway off the dribble. Irving has been in the lab all summer long and went viral earlier in the summer when he dropped a triple-double in the Drew League.
He looks as ready as ever for next season, and he and Doncic will hopefully gain more chemistry this next season and turn into true finals contenders.
We'll have you covered with all the latest news and rumors surrounding Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks going into this season, so stay tuned.
