The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a massive 128-124 win over the New York Knicks on Thursday night, but their focus has shifted to tonight's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Dallas is making the most of their seven-game homestand, as they are 4-1, and finishing strong against the Pelicans in these next two games is crucial.

Off the court, the main talking point around the league has been trade deadline rumors. Dallas has been linked to Isaiah Stewart, Pascal Siakam, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Jerami Grant, but there have also been some rumors surrounding Mavs players.

Dallas is reportedly shopping Tim Hardaway Jr. and Richaun Holmes, and they have reportedly gotten plenty of trade offers for Josh Green, but it doesn't seem like they are interested in trading him.

Even though it seems like Dallas is betting on Green's future, as they just signed him to a contract extension, things can change quickly in the NBA.

Could a team looking for a young guard throw Nico Harrison and the Mavs an offer they can't resist? It's definitely a possibility.

Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley put together every team's top three trade targets and listed Green as one of the Charlotte Hornets' top targets. There aren't any rumors or reports that indicate the Hornets could pursue Green, but Buckley makes a good point as to why Green may be a good fit in Charlotte.

"If Charlotte adds players, it should aim for young players who have a chance to grow with this core. Green, whose numbers are down this season, might have an easier time developing in Charlotte than contributing under win-right-now conditions in Dallas."

Green has strung together a solid stretch of games lately, and he scored 18 points in his last game against the Knicks but has been inconsistent all season long. He also seems to always play well when Luka Doncic is out.

Green seems to remain in Dallas' long-term plans, but if the Mavs do decide to shop him, Charlotte could be a team that tries to trade for him.
