Dallas Mavericks budding star Jaden Hardy has the potential to be one of the best young scorers off the bench next season, and it looks like celebrities are starting to take notice.

Rap star Lil Baby was in Dallas on July 29 for one of his concerts as part of the "It's Only Us" tour. Lil Baby is one of the most well-known rappers in the country, and it looks like Hardy was at one of his recent shows and met up with him after (likely the show at the American Airlines Center on July 29, but not confirmed.)

Hardy posted a photo on Instagram of him with Lil Baby, and Hardy gave him a gift that could turn out to be priceless in a few years.

In the photo, Lil Baby is holding an autographed Jaden Hardy No. 3 Mavericks jersey. Athletes often gift people close to them signed jerseys, but the reason that this gift is so special is that it's a No. 3 Jaden Hardy jersey.

Hardy wore No. 3 during his rookie season but switched to No. 1 this summer. There are likely not many signed Hardy No. 3 jerseys out there, and the fact that he gifted one to Lil Baby is special.

Lil Baby has made multiple RIAA platinum albums and continues to be one of the most popular rappers in the world. It looks like he and Hardy got to spend some time together over the weekend, and maybe Lil Baby will stop by a Mavericks game at the American Airlines Center once the NBA season rolls around.

Last season, Hardy averaged 8.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while shooting over 40 percent from downtown. Hardy showed signs of improvement all season long, and signs are pointing to him turning into a star one day. He has all the tools to be great, and fans should be excited about the young guard's potential.

We'll have you covered with all the latest news surrounding the Dallas Mavericks and Jaden Hardy this offseason, so stay tuned.
