The Dallas Mavericks must upgrade their roster around Luka Doncic this offseason, and finding a new starting center is high on the priority list. They signed JaVale McGee last offseason to replace Dwight Powell, but he lasted just seven games before being benched. Powell was back in the starting five, and the Mavs' rebounding and rim protection woes continued.

The Mavericks cannot afford to begin another season with Dwight Powell as the top option at the five. Not after Dallas missed the postseason entirely because of their lack of defense. They need someone that protects the rim and excels on the glass. Being an elite roll man or floor spacer is secondary, but would be fantastic when playing off Luka.

Bleacher Report released their latest hypothetical trades, and they had the Mavs acquiring Myles Turner from the Pacers. It feels like Turner has been on the block for years, but Indiana never gets the right offer. Would they finally do it if the Mavericks offered the right package?

Dallas Mavericks pay a hefty price to land Myles Turner

Turner is an elite rim protector that can score and space the floor. He averaged 18.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in 29.4 minutes per game last season. The Mavericks would love to bring him back to Dallas, but it would cost a lot. Here is what Bleacher Report believes would get a deal done.

B/R Mavs land Turner

Myles Turner is going to produce when he is on the floor, but is the right fit next to Luka Doncic? The 6’11 big man has been linked to the Mavs for years, but can the two sides complete a trade?

Here is a look at why each team would make this deal before branching out into a letter grade.
