Grade the Trade: Mavericks land star guard in Damian Lillard mock blockbuster

Dallas lands star shooting guard, Damian Lillard heads to Miami in mock three-team blockbuster
In this mock trade originally proposed by Dalton Trigg of DallasBasketball.com, the Dallas Mavericks join in on the Damian Lillard madness and help him get to his destination, the Miami Heat.
The Dallas Mavericks help the Heat by taking on a contract that Portland doesn't want to take on while also sending the Blazers multiple players.
**Sign-and-trade: Dallas' Christian Wood agrees to a three or four-year contract to be traded to Portland
In this trade, Lillard gets to his dream destination without Miami having to give up too much. The Blazers land future draft compensation, the Heat's 2023 first-round pick Jaime Jaquez Jr., Duncan Robinson, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Christain Wood.
The Heat instantly become the best team on paper in the Eastern Conference while the Trailblazers fuel their rebuild with multiple first-rounders, valuable role players, and a rookie with a bright future in Jaquez Jr.
Dallas lands a young shooting guard in Tyler Herro for the next four seasons without having to give up too much.
As Trigg mentioned in his original story, this may not be the trade that Portland wants, as they don't get many young players back in return. But it allows them to avoid taking on Herro's contract, and it could be worth it in the long run.
Now we grade the trade for all three teams involved and discuss how each team would look following this blockbuster.
