The Dallas Mavericks finished their first Summer League game in Las Vegas on Saturday, and fans got their first chance to watch Dereck Lively II and Olivier-Maxence Prosper's NBA debuts.

This is an exciting part of being a fan because you get to watch the players that your team drafted to improve the roster.

A tough part of being a fan is seeing your favorite players go.

Free agency rumors: Dallas Mavericks likely won't re-sign fan favorite guard

You get to watch them grow as players and men, but they can be gone instantly. It's part of the business of the NBA, but it doesn't make it easier to see your favorite players go.

The Mavs are reportedly expected to move JaVale McGee and Tim Hardaway Jr. this offseason, and more players could be out the door as well.

According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, one of Dallas' veterans likely won't be returning.

Stein said that (subscription required), "The Mavericks, I'm told, have indeed moved on from Theo Pinson."

Pinson was a fan favorite in Dallas and was the ultimate hype man from the bench. He was always talking trash to opposing superstars and encouraging his teammates. Pinson was also always the first one off the bench to congratulate his teammates when they stepped off the floor. He brought great vibes to the team, whether he was playing or not.

Pinson averaged 2.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in his two seasons in Dallas. These stats don't pop out as he wasn't used much on the court, but his presence will be missed in Dallas.

Pinson ended his time in Dallas with a 23-point triple-double against the San Antonio Spurs. The Mavs were tanking this game, but he still put on a show and displayed that he can play at a high level. Hopefully, this showed teams that he can contribute and earns him a contract elsewhere. Pinson is a great locker room guy and can contribute off the bench when needed.

It was obvious that he wanted to return to Dallas, but it looks like the sixth-year swingman will play somewhere else next season.

Stay tuned to see what moves the Mavericks decide to make in free agency and where Pinson signs. We'll have you covered with all the latest news and rumors surrounding the team, so stay tuned.
