2. Boban Marjanovic

The 7’3 big man quickly became a fan-favorite after joining the Mavericks in 2019. Marjanovic is a fantastic teammate and quickly formed a close bond with Luka Doncic. Fans loved to watch the duo’s antics, and Bobi was a favorite of everyone on the Mavs roster over those three seasons.

The Mavericks traded Marjanovic to Houston last summer in the Christian Wood deal. Dallas needed to clear some roster spots to add in free agency, and Boban became a casualty of the crunch. He spent last season with the Rockets before becoming an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Bobi is destined for massive things after basketball, but it has been shocking to see him go unsigned. The 7’3 big man will only play spot minutes on the court, but he is a legendary teammate (subscription required) that improves any locker room. Marjanovic is always smiling, and he truly brightens the day of those around him.

Is the 34-year-old ready to hang up the sneakers? If Boban Marjanovic wants to play next season, he will find a home on an NBA roster. It may start as a training camp invite, but it will be tough to let one of the nicest guys in the league leave if he gets a shot.
