Dallas Mavericks fans should not worry about the offense

Mavs supporters should not be worried about the offense for two simple reasons.

First, Luka Doncic is a basketball genius and on pace to go down as one of the best shot creators in NBA history. The 22-year-old superstar will put them in possession to succeed on the offensive end of the floor.

He had a bad night, including going six of 17 from the field, and still finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and one steal. The team needs to iron out their spacing, but Doncic is so skilled that he will cure a lot of the team’s issues.

Jason Kidd was an offensive genius on the court too. Fans should not forget that he helped the Mavericks usher in the “flow” offense and was the starting point guard on the 2011 championship team. The Hall of Famer wants to win and will help sort out the team’s offensive issues.

It was a rough first game of the Kidd era, but Dallas Mavericks fans should not panic. It was only one game, and the team is still working on finding its groove in a new system. Expect the offense to evolve as the season progresses and the best is still yet to come.
