1. Richaun Holmes will be traded

It's extremely unlikely that Josh Green, Maxi Kleber, and Richaun Holmes will all be traded at the deadline, but it makes too much sense for either Holmes or Kleber to be moved due to their similar salaries.

Both players are making around $11 to $12 million annually, and would be essential trade pieces to help match salary in whatever trade Dallas decides to make at the trade deadline.

Dallas landed Holmes on draft night in a trade with the Sacramento Kings, and despite Mavs owner Mark Cuban later calling the move "the most underrated pickup of the summer," it's known that Dallas tried to move him on draft night.

After 16 games played, Holmes has only played in seven games and is averaging 3.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He isn't someone that Dallas can ideally lean on for heavy minutes, and he has clearly regressed over the last few seasons.

Holmes can occasionally be a high-impact player in Dallas, as he was in the game against the Los Angeles Lakers last week, but due to the fact that he is clearly worse than Dereck Lively II and maybe Dwight Powell, Dallas could look to move him.

His salary doesn't match his on-court production and it doesn't seem likely that he is someone Dallas keeps around long term.
