Dallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford has quickly become a fan favorite since being traded to Dallas from the Washington Wizards last month, and he has excelled as both a starter and bench player as a Mav so far.

This season for the Mavs, Gafford is averaging 10.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 0.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 76.6 percent from the field. Gafford has been a monster in the paint for this Mavs team, and having another lob threat other than Dereck Lively II makes this team's frontcourt dangerous.

Lively II and Gafford have shown how impactful they can be when they are both at their best as they combined for 42 points in a dominant win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, and Gafford continues to inch closer to breaking Wilt Chamberlain's record of 35 consecutive made field goals without a miss.

Gafford continues to be a bright spot within the Mavs' rotation, and before last night's game against the Golden State Warriors, he revealed the team's plans for the final stretch of the season.

"A lot of positivity, a lot of happiness, a lot of energy throughout the building," Gafford said when asked by Kevin Gray Jr. of 97.1 The Freak about what fans can expect from him and the team during the final stretch of the season. "A lot of wins, hopefully at the end of the day. That is our plan going down the road with these last 17 games."

Gafford's bold plan started on a good note last night, as Dallas secured the win over the Warriors, and his positivity could help this team tremendously down the stretch. Togetherness is important at this part of the season, and this is one thing that the Mavs seem to have right now.

Gafford's energy is unmatchable, and there is a different feeling when he is in the game. He is always hustling on the glass, screaming after a big block, and igniting energy into the American Airlines Center crowd.

Gafford and the Mavs will look to extend their winning streak to five games tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
