1. Clint Capela

Perhaps the perfect mix of risk and safety, Clint Capela could be the perfect trade target for the Dallas Mavericks this summer as they search for answers at the center position.

With the new CBA coming into play, the Atlanta Hawks, who have one of the most expensive teams in basketball, will undoubtedly be looking to shed salary.

Onyeka Okongwu has shown enough potential for them to consider Capela trades, and if that becomes the case, Dallas should pick up the phones and give them a call.

He’s been a great lob threat throughout the years for some of the best playmakers in the league in James Harden and Trae Young, so he would fit in seamlessly next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Meanwhile, he could help shore up the middle on the defensive side of the ball, gobbling up rebounds (on both ends) in the process.

He’ll be making over $20 million in each of the next two seasons, but that’s not too bad of a contract moving forward, and if the Mavericks want to move on, they could always find a way to trade it.

Considering the situation Atlanta is in financially, Capela’s potential fit in Dallas, and the money he makes, the Hawks big man could be a prime trade target for the Mavericks this offseason.
