On Tuesday night, the Dallas Mavericks were blown out by the Memphis Grizzlies at the American Airlines Center by a score of 120-103. This loss hurts for Dallas, as the Grizzlies were without both Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.

This is a game that Dallas should have taken advantage of, but they came out of the gates with low energy and ended up losing the game. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic combined for 64 points, but no one else around them could get it going.

Dallas was also dominated on the glass, as they were out-rebounded 54-33.

Perfect center for Mavericks becomes available after shocking move by Grizzlies

This clearly shows they need a better backup center, and the Grizzlies may have just gifted the Mavericks the perfect candidate.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Grizzlies are waiving Bismack Biyombo. This came as a shocking move, as he has been their starting center this season, and the Mavs must strike now.

Dallas' backup center spot has been extremely weak, as Dwight Powell and Richhaun Holmes have not been great, and the Mavs struggle when Dereck Lively II is out of the lineup.

With signing Biyombo, the Mavs would add someone who rebounds at a high rate and is also a good shot-blocker. Biyombo would immediately become one of the best rebounders on the team and would be the second-best shot-blocker behind Lively II.

The Mavs' focus on the trade market seems to be adding a power forward, as they have been in trade rumors for both Jerami Grant and Pascal Siakam, but an excellent rebounding and defensive center on the open market is too good to be true.

This is a low-risk, high-reward type of move, and it would lessen the drop-off that happens when Lively II is off the floor or out of the lineup.

Will the Dallas Mavericks pursue Bismack Biyombo?

That question could be answered soon, and we'll have you covered.
