3. Lauri Markkanen

It seems everywhere you looked this summer, the Dallas Mavericks were being brought in multiple hypothetical trades. Dallas is one piece away from being serious contenders, and if they could somehow land Lauri Markkanen, they would have an elite big three for years to come.

While trading for the Finland star may not be a necessity, it would provide many benefits. For starters, it makes the Mavs one of the top offensive teams in the league.

Last season, Markkanen averaged a career-high 25.6 points and shot 49.9 percent from the field. Not to mention, he made 39.2 percent of his attempted three-pointers.

Adding him to the team would be a tremendous boost. Last year, Dallas ranked 16th in the league in points per game. Aside from Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, only Christian Wood and Tim Hardaway Jr. averaged double-digit points.

His presence would also give the team more height and allow them to move Grant Williams to the small forward spot.

What are the chances Dallas gets desperate? Could they make the move for a third All-Star? Also, how many points would a trio of Doncic, Irving, and Markkanen score?

That trio would be unstoppable, but him leaving Utah is a pipe dream.
