The Dallas Mavericks needed an incredible performance from Luka Doncic to defeat the Orlando Magic 114-105 on Oct. 30. It was the second night of a back-to-back for Dallas, and they were coming off a disappointing loss to the Thunder. The defense struggled again on Sunday night, but Luka was not going to let Dallas lose.
The 23-year-old superstar went for 30 points in the first half to keep Dallas in the contest and helped them close the show in the second half to move to 3-3 on the season. The Mavericks were on short rest, but they still found a way to defeat the shorthanded Magic.

Tim Hardaway Jr. is a key floor spacer and shot-maker for the Mavs that missed in their run to conference finals last season. The 6’5 wing suffered a broken foot in January that required surgery and kept him out for the remainder of the year. Dallas is happy to have him back.
Hardaway Jr. showed what he can do in the fourth quarter on Sunday night. He had just six points in the first three quarters before exploding for 15 in the fourth to finish with 21 points, three assists, and one steal in 27 minutes of action against the Magic. See a key THJ make below.
The Mavericks needed Tim Hardaway Jr. to step up as Spencer Dinwiddie and Christian Wood did not find their offense against the Magic. He earned his place in the closing lineup, and THJ was a key reason why the Mavs won on Sunday night at the American Airlines Center.
