Predicting every game on the Dallas Mavericks schedule in December

Dec. 1 at New Orleans Pelicans: Loss

Zion Williamson has a monster 35-point night as the Pelicans pick up the home win over the Mavs.

Dec. 3 vs. New Orleans Pelicans: Win

Dallas comes right back on their home floor to make it six straight wins against the Pelicans at the American Airlines Center.

Dec. 4 vs. Memphis Grizzlies: Loss

Ja Morant drops 34 as the Mavericks run out of gas late in the second night of a back-to-back to fall to the Grizzlies.

Dec. 7 vs. Brooklyn Nets: Loss

Dec. 8 at Memphis Grizzlies: Win

The Mavs exact some revenge, despite the Grizzlies having the rest advantage for the second time in less than one week. Doncic goes off and wills Dallas to the win in Memphis.

Dec. 10 at Indiana Pacers: Win

Luka and the Mavs take their first meeting against former coach Rick Carlisle and the Pacers. The 22-year-old superstar goes off and keeps his former mentor from gaining the upper hand in their new rivalry.

Dec. 12 at Oklahoma City Thunder: Win

The Thunder are once again rebuilding and figure to finish near the bottom of the Western Conference standings. Expect OKC to play an extremely young group as the Mavericks dominate this mid-December matchup.

Dec. 13 vs. Charlotte Hornets: Loss

Charlotte has a massive rest advantage in this game, and LaMelo Ball exploits it as his 24-point triple-double leads the Hornets to victory.

Dec. 15 vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Loss

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook are all healthy and firing on all cylinders as they defeat the Mavericks at the American Airlines Center, despite a 30-point game from Luka.

Dec. 19 at Minnesota Timberwolves: Win

The Mavericks had won five straight against the Timberwolves before the 2021 season finale where they took their foot off the pedal. Doncic goes off for a 40-point triple-double in the win in Minnesota.

Dec. 21 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: Win

Dallas sweeps the home-and-home set by scoring 135 points on the Timberwolves porous defense.

Dec. 23 vs. Milwaukee Bucks: Win

The Mavs have won two straight at the American Airlines Center against the defending champions, and they catch the Bucks on the second night of a back-to-back as Dallas takes the overtime victory.

Dec. 25 at Utah Jazz: Loss

The Christmas Day nightcap turns sour as Rudy Gobert dominates the paint on his way to 20 points, 20 rebounds, and 5 blocks to lift the Jazz to an exciting down-to-the-wire victory.

Dec. 27 at Portland Trail Blazers: Loss

This turns into an epic scoring duel between Damian Lillard and Doncic where both score 40-plus. Lillard gets the last laugh with a game-winner in the final seconds to make it two straight losses for Dallas.

Dec. 29 at Sacramento Kings: Win

The Kings are on the second night of a back-to-back as Dallas rolls in and takes full advantage. Luka drops 32 as six Mavericks score in double-figures in the win.

Dec. 31 at Sacramento Kings: Win

Dallas failed to take care of business against Sacramento last season, but they do not make the same mistake twice as they sweet this two-game set to give them 22 victories to close the calendar year.
